Soft and Pretty

birthday card for momA few months ago, I needed a birthday card for my Mom.  While she isn’t a stamper, she still enjoys handmade things from her daughter Laughing.  So I put this little card together and I’m happy to say she really liked it.  Using embossing folders always adds a nice touch, and I’m lovin’ using the framelits and top note die as well.  I used a retired stamp set for the flowers, but hopefully you have some flower stamps in your collection if you’d like to replicate this card.  I think it’s really soft and pretty. What do you think?

Reverse Masking technique

You may know how to use masks to create depth in your stamping, but how about reverse masking?  I found this great video from Stampin’ Up! explaining this technique!

I used this technique a little while ago to create thank you cards for my customers:

thank you reverse maskIt’s a great way to make single layer cards that still have a lot of depth, texture and interest.  Give it a try today!  signature2

Another look at our trimmer

I know I posted this before, but now that I’ve had my trimmer for several weeks, I can honestly say I really LOVE it!  So I wanted to give you another look at the Stampin’ Up! video showing this awesome trimmer:

http://youtu.be/9BPZd6PZN0Y

Replacement blades are now available to order so I recommend getting an additional pack of cutting blades with your trimmer order.  I think you can wait to order additional scoring blades until you feel you need them – especially if you have the Simply Scored Score Board.  You can store any extra blades very conveniently on the back of the trimmer in the handy storage compartment Laughing.

This is a terrific item that can get you close to your $50 order which will then earn you a FREE item from Sale-a-bration from now until March 22.  It’s a basic crafting tool that any stamper NEEDS to make his/her life easier.

Can I clarify Sale-a-bration for you?

Some of you have voiced difficulty in reading the SAB brochure using the link in my previous post.  Even with the printed version in your hand, it can be difficult to understand which items are grouped together.  So I thought these images might help you understand what items are your choices for FREE during this promotion:

sab 2013 leaflet 2[4]

I do hope this helps.  But if you have any other questions, please continue to ask!  I will do whatever I can for you!
