Are you addicted to Pinterest?

I admit I spend quite a bit of time browsing the pins on Pinterest.  While doing just that, I saw several adorable owl cards created with our exclusive top note die, so I just HAD to make one for myself!  So here is my little cutie:

top note owl card

He was created using the top note die, several circle punches, a scallop circle punch, two different heart punches and an oval framelit.  I think he just so stinkin’ adorable!  Since my Dad collects owls, this card will go to him.  I just know he will LOVE it!

Have you ever recreated a card you found on Pinterest?

By Special Request . . .

A friend of mine asked me if I could make a birthday card for her Grandpa’s 90th birthday.  I said, “of course! What does he like?”

Well, she said he likes sea birds.  I don’t happen to own any sea bird stamps 🙁 but I thought I could make a seagull out of the bird builder punch.  So this is what I came up with:

grandpa birthday cardI didn’t have any “grandpa” stamps either, but I did have a very old (retired) alphabet set to spell it out.  I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest by Michelle Z., a fellow demo.

I was pleased with the end result and thoroughly enjoyed making it for my friend who said her family really liked itLaughing.

Can I help you design something for a special someone in your life?  Please contact me – I’d really love to help!

Do you enjoy using kits?

Sometimes kits are PERFECT for our needs.  They are a way to quickly make a few projects with ease and little effort.  If you  enjoy kits, take a look at these that are currently available:

kits

Based on my experience, I personally recommend the Hip Hip Hoory kit and Dude, You’re Welcome kit, although all of these kits are quite useful and will provide great projects for you.  I have seen MANY adorable stamps created using the Undefined Stamp Carving kit so if you feel ready to create your own images, go for it!signature2
