Blendabilities Project #3

Can you tell I am having fun coloring with my Blendabilites?  That is exactly why they are my Product of the Month for August!  I want you to have as much fun with them as I am :D.

Kathryn's cardA very very dear friend recently found out that she has Stage 2 Breast Cancer 🙁 .  So I wanted to send her a card to let her know she and her family are in my daily thoughts and prayers!  The koala is my favorite bear so this image immediately caught my eye in the latest annual Catalog.  Isn’t he/she simply adorable!  I was so happy to get the Smokey Slate blendabilities to color this image!  And since pink is associated with Breast Cancer, I wanted to use Melon Mambo as my main color.  I used my Blendablities markers to color my white seam binding to match the background paper, and I used Daffodil Delight to color the rhinestone in the flower to coordinate with gold in the bakers twine.  That is what I find most special about Stampin’ Up! products – they coordinate perfectly with each other!  I believe we carry Melon Mambo ribbon, but didn’t have any so my markers came to my rescue.

Blendabilities Project #2

I found something to occupy my time (besides playing games on my phone) while at my kids’ sport practice!  Coloring images with my Blendabilities!  Here is a birthday card I made for a very special friend.

blended bloom birthday cardI had actually colored the Blended Bloom image with the Melon Mambo Blendabilities weeks ago while at my daughter’s running club practice so it was sitting on my craft desk (along with several other colored images) waiting to be used.  My friend’s birthday was fast approaching so I looked at the colored images sitting on my desk and vowed to use one of them.  And this is what fell into place 🙂 .

I hadn’t used my Positively Chevron background for quite some time so decided that would make a great background for the flower.  I then cut out the leaves using a retired Sizzlet from my stash.  The chunky glass glitter on the center of the flower is another retired item sitting in my craft area.  I have really been trying hard to use up my supplies before purchasing more.  Yea, right!  Do you hoard your supplies, or actually USE them?

This might just be my most favorite of my own creations 😀 .  And I didn’t even CASE it from Pinterest or another demo!

So, are you now convinced that you need to order some Blendabilities for you own coloring pleasure?  Order up to 3 color sets by the end of August and receive 10% back as a gift from me next month!  Be sure to come back again soon to see another project created with these awesome markers!signature2

Blendabilities Project #1

I do enjoy coloring with these lovely Blendabilities!  Here is a birthday card I made for my niece:

blendabilities birthday card by Keep Inking UpNow I don’t consider myself much an artist, but with these markers, I think I might be able to pass as one.  I stamped the flowers from the Secret Garden stamp set then colored with the Cherry Cobbler and Pumpkin Pie Blendabilities markers.  Those two colors look so nice together!  The card base was created using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch, which may be a Product of the Month in a future month . . .  Please let me know if you would like to see that!

I’m a tad nervous to show you my coloring skills close up, but here you go:

Check out the depth you can get with blending the 3 shades!  What an advantage to this product!  No guessing which marker will blend with another is needed.  The colors come in packages of 3 markers so you have the light, medium and dark shades to lay down your coloring so easily.

It’s up to you how you color.  You can start with light and finish with the dark or you can start dark and finish with light.  I personally prefer starting with the dark marker and blend at the end with the light shade.  But it’s totally up to YOU!  So enjoy coloring again like you did when you were a kid!

Order your Blendablities right away 🙂 !  If you live in Texas, remember that these markers are TAX-FREE this weekend only!  All colors indicated in the Annual Catalog are now available for purchase.  And don’t forget to order the Momento Tuxedo Black ink pad – you will want this ink for best results with these markers.signature2
