YOU can order a bundle BEFORE the new Holiday Catalog goes live!

Yep! As demonstrators, we often get to order new product early, before a catalog goes live.  Well, this month, customers get to do just that, too 🙂 During August, you, too, can order the Carols of Christmas bundle!

I just love the size of the sentiments in this stamp set, don’t you!?! And the shadow on the text is quite nice as well. The dies will go well beyond the holidays, too.  The trees, deer and border dies will be awesome for masculine cards throughout the year!

I’ve shown this tip before, but this is how I store my bundles, when the dies specifically go with the stamp set.

This way I can find the dies quickly. I also store extra images that I have cut in the case for future projects. I haven’t yet done it with this bundle, but I usually also outline the dies on the magnetic sheet so I can tell when a piece is missing.

This bundle is part of a mega suite you will soon see in the new Holiday catalog.  You are going to LOVE this catalog! Customers should be receiving their copies in the next two weeks, if I have an address on file.  If you have ordered from me online, but chose “no contact”, I’m sorry, but I don’t have an address to send anything. I feel just awful because I know at least one customer who won’t be receiving a catalog as he/she chose “no contact” :(.

Trying something new to me?

Watercoloring has been very popular for the past several years.  I always think I can do it, but when I do, my results are less than spectacular.  Those YouTube videos make it look SO easy, don’t they!?!

But I’m not giving up!  I made a card this morning and while it certainly could use some improvement, I am proud to give this to my friend. I think she will love it and feel my gratitude for her in my life.  And isn’t that what it’s all about anyway? I give handmade cards to show I care! This one should do just that, even if I think I could use more watercolor practice.

The Delightful Daisy bundle has been so popular!

And now I know why!  I finally had a chance to make some flowers today – aren’t they adorable!?!

A few years ago, I saw this tip online somewhere of putting flowers in a salt shaker to keep the stems separated. I have 6 flowers in here now, but could prob put a few more.  I didn’t want to wait until I did that before sharing, though.  I just love these!  The centers are the gorgeous gold faceted gems, the perfect detail, don’t you think?

Another Sweet 16 card

Since my daughter turned 16 this past year, her friends are turning 16 as well. I don’t like to make the same card over and over again, so this was my most recent card for her friend, Jane, who turns 16 later this week.

My daughter doesn’t care too much for pink so I kinda get excited to use pink for her friends. This card uses the Sweet Cupcake and Big On Birthdays stamp sets as well as the Large Numbers Framelits.  I use these three items quite often. I also used some retired DSP. Do you use up your DSP? I rarely do so always have a stash that comes in handy for occasions such as this 🙂 .

If you like it, ORDER it!

All too often, I have a customer who wants something that has retired! Yes, you might be able to find a retired item on Ebay, but who wants to pay those crazy prices!?! NOT ME! So please, if you see something you like in any Stampin’ Up! catalog, go ahead and order it when you can! I was SO glad I did that with the Nailed It bundle! It’s now retired 🙁  but is so perfect for the Father’s Day cards I needed to make.  Here is one of them:

I was surprised this bundle didn’t make it into the new catalog.  And so very sad for everyone who wasn’t able to get it. I won’t be selling mine (sorry) as it will likely get used often for masculine cards, you know, the ones that are so hard to make! Please don’t be disappointed when you can longer order something.  Order it when you first see it and like it!!!!
