Tuesday Tools – Stamp-A-Ma-Jig

One of the tools I’ve been using quite frequently lately has been my Stamp-a-ma-jig.

Over the years, I’ve tried very hard to not be precise in my stamping and I still recommend that you not get caught up in being so precise!  You should have fun while stamping!

But there are times when you need precise location of an image, especially with sentiments.  For such precise placement, the Stamp-a-ma-jig is invaluable.

You simply stamp your image on the imaging sheet by placing the block in the corner of the handle.  Then place the imaging sheet on your project with the image exactly where you want it,  bring back the handle, remove the imaging sheet and stamp your image with the block in the corner of the handle just like you did when stamping onto the imaging sheet the first time.

You can get additional imaging sheets but here’s another tip for this tool – I stamp my sentiments using the stamp-a-ma-jig onto sheets of vellum cardstock that I then keep in the case with my wood mount stamps.  That way I can skip that step when creating my projects.  For clear mount stamps, it is best to use the imaging sheets as your stamp will be mounted in a slightly different location on your clear block each time.

If you would like me to provide a video showing exactly how to use this handy tool, just let me know in the comments.
