Hostess codes – what are those!?!
Well, this is great news for hostesses! As a hostess, if you happen to have friends who are unable to attend your workshop, but would like to place an order online, their orders can now be added to your workshop orders, increasing your hostess benefits! HOW COOL IS THAT!?!
Now, I know you may have lots of questions about how exactly this works. This is new so I’m sure I’ll learn more as we go along, but here are some questions and answers provided by Stampin’ Up!:
Q: Can an online order with a hostess code contain Clearance Rack items?
A: Yes!
Q: Can an online order with a hostess code contain digital print products and downloads?
A: Yes!
Q: Can an online order customer ship their order with the workshop order to keep shipping costs to a minimum?
A: No, online orders are independent of the workshop order and online order shipping rates apply.
Q: Will online customer orders contribute to the workshop shipping costs?
A: Online customer orders will be charged normal shipping costs for their order. The workshop order will be charged for shipping on the non-online customer order items only.
Q: If an online order total qualifies for Stampin’ Rewards, will the customer receive them even if they enter a Hostess Code?
A: No, Stampin’ Rewards earned prior to entering a Hostess Code will be removed if the customer applies a hostess code. Customers who enter a hostess code at the beginning of their shopping experience will not be notified that they qualify for Stampin’ Rewards since they elected to apply them to the workshop through the hostess code.
As I mentioned, we will all learn more as we start entering orders with this process. But this appears to be really awesome news for hostesses! I think it’s absolutely FABULOUS! It’s always fun for hostesses to pick out their free items and now that amount can increase with the addition of these orders “outside” of the workshop. And those placing online orders can now feel good about contributing to their friend’s workshop order even when life prevents them from actually attending the workshop. So now . . .
